Leadership Through Service (LTS) offers an amazing opportunity to explore and engage with the greater St. Louis community during the transition to college life at WashU. Each day student counselors will lead small group teams through daily community service projects, excursions into the city, presentations from local community members, and inspiring discussions about civic and community engagement. LTS offers the perfect combination of eye-opening experiences and pure fun! Most importantly though, the program lets you learn about the city that will become your home for the next four years. You’ll deepen your understanding of pressing social justice issues, all while making incredible friendships and sustainable connections by learning about the opportunities to get involved in the community throughout your time in school.
The Leadership Through Service (LTS) program is led by the Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement, whose mission is to cultivate engaged citizens, connect campus and community, and catalyze positive change to foster thriving communities.
