Orientation
Get familiar with Washington University in St. Louis by checking out the various orientation programs available to you. ​​​​​
The First Year Center offers several orientation programs for new students. 

Bear Beginnings: New Student Fall Orientation is required for all fall incoming students.  This mandatory four-day program includes Convocation, the First Year Reading Program, and the opportunity to connect with your academic division.  Optional programming is also provided for family members.  No registration is required for this program.

SOAR: Summer Orientation Advising Registration is an optional three-day, two-night program for fall incoming students who would like to explore campus, meet with their advisor in-person, and register for classes. Due to technical difficulties, registration will now open April 5, 2016.

Pre-Orientation is an optional four-day program for fall incoming students to explore a campus organization or University department.  Registration will open at 3:00 PM CST on May 2, 2016.

SOAR: Summer Orientation Advising Registration
Consider attending a SOAR program this summer. This on-campus, three-day, two-night experience includes meeting with an advisor and registering for classes*, getting to know upper-class student leaders, exploring campus and the St. Louis community, as well as meeting some of your new classmates.
Pre-Orientation Programs
Pre-Orientation programs are a great start to your WUSTL experience. It is your opportunity to work closely with a campus organization or University department, gain valuable leadership skills, get a jump start on getting involved on campus, and meet other students with similar interests.
